The origin of WP

WordPress originated in 2003 as a blogging platform created by Matt Mullenweg and Mike Little. Its open-source nature and user-friendly interface quickly gained popularity, leading to widespread adoption for various types of websites beyond just blogs.
WP usage today
Today, WordPress is used to create more than one-third of all the websites on the internet, which makes it the most popular way to build websites around the world.
